Method

Prepare Meatballs

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  2. 2

    Form Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Cook Meatballs

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

Prepare Marinara Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer, and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 6

    Finish Sauce

Once the sauce has thickened, stir in the chopped basil and remove from heat.

Cook Spaghetti

  1. 7

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water.

  2. 8

    Cook Spaghetti

Add the spaghetti pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.

  3. 9

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and serve it topped with the marinara sauce and meatballs.
