Mussels Marinara

Prepare the Mussels
Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any dirt or debris. Remove any beards attached to the mussels.

Add Seasonings
Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes, canned crushed tomatoes, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Cook the Mussels
Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that do not open.
Garlic Bread

Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.

Bake the Bread
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and crispy.
