Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper. Stir until well combined and fragrant.

  3. 3

    Prepare Bread

Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Spread Garlic Butter

Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the French bread.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese and 0.5 cup of grated Parmesan cheese generously over the buttered bread.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Bread

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve with Marinara

Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve warm with marinara sauce on the side.
