Method

Preparation of Topping

  1. 1

    Chop Tomatoes

Dice the tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mince Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Add Basil and Seasoning

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper, then stir well to combine.

Preparing the Bread

  1. 4

    Slice the Baguette

Cut the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices on a diagonal to maximize surface area.

  2. 5

    Brush with Olive Oil

Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil to ensure even grilling.

Grilling

  1. 6

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Grill the Bread

Place the oiled bread slices on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and have nice grill marks.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Top the Bread

Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving platter. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm, and enjoy!
