Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage links. Cook them for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let them cool slightly before slicing.

Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and Mancini peppers. Sauté over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Add the crushed red pepper flakes and mix well.
Cooking the Pasta

Cook the Rigatoni
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Add the Pasta
Add the drained rigatoni to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
Serving

Plate and Serve
Serve the Basilicata hot, garnished with additional crushed red pepper flakes if desired, and enjoy!
