Brownie Base

Method

Brownie Base

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Everything Together

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

  6. 6

    Add Pecans and Cherries

Fold in the chopped pecans and halved cherries gently into the brownie batter.

  7. 7

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. 8

    Cool

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan on a wire rack.

Toppings

  1. 9

    Serve Brownies

Once the brownies are completely cool, cut them into squares and place them on serving plates.

  2. 10

    Add Ice Cream

Top each brownie square with a scoop of Henry's Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

  3. 11

    Drizzle with Chocolate Sauce

Generously drizzle chocolate sauce over the ice cream and brownies before serving.
