Method
Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, mix buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken thighs and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
Prepare Breading

In a shallow dish, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
Fry the Chicken

Bread Chicken
Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.

Fry Chicken
Carefully place breaded chicken in the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Prepare Nasty Sauce

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, garlic powder, lemon juice, and salt to taste. Mix well and set aside.
Prepare Beach House Dip

In another bowl, combine sour cream, chopped herbs, lemon zest, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined.
Serve

Serve the fried chicken hot with nasty sauce and beach house dip on the side for dipping.
