Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cedar Plank

Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour before cooking to prevent burning.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cauliflower

In a pot of boiling salted water, add the cauliflower florets and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté Sage

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sage leaves and fry until crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Scallops

Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.

  5. 5

    Cook the Scallops

Preheat the grill. Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill and heat for about 5 minutes until it starts to smoke. Arrange the scallops on the plank and grill for 4-5 minutes until they are opaque and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Grapes and Capers

In the same skillet used for the sage, add another tablespoon of olive oil, the grapes, and capers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until grapes are warmed and slightly blistered.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the scallops on a plate with sautéed cauliflower, topped with the warm grape and caper mixture. Garnish with crispy sage leaves.
