Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station: Place flour in a shallow dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese in a third. Season the flour with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the cooked chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the fried chicken on top of the sauce, then pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
