Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Slice the medium onion into thin rings. Grill or sauté the onions in a pan over medium heat until they are caramelized and softened, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Form the Angus ground beef into two equal patties, about 1/2 lb each. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of American cheese on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness and the cheese is melted.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Place the cooked burger patty on the bottom half of the bun, top with grilled onions and bacon bits. Drizzle bleu cheese dressing over the top and place the other half of the bun on top.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, with your choice of sides.
