Cake Ingredients

Method

Cake Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

3

Add Wet Ingredients

Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well blended.

4

Incorporate Boiling Water

Carefully stir in the boiling water to the batter. The batter will be thin, but this is normal.

5

Bake the Cakes

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6

Cool the Cakes

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Frosting Preparation

7

Make the Frosting

In a medium bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add cocoa powder and confectioners' sugar, alternating with milk, and mix until smooth and spreadable. Stir in vanilla extract.

8

Frost the Cakes

Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread frosting on top, then place the second layer on top and frost the top and sides.

9

Serve

Slice the torta de chocolate and serve. Enjoy your irresistible, moist chocolate cake!
