1. Prepare the Mixture

In a large saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup over low heat until smooth.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir to combine.

3. Combine Wet and Dry

Once the butter mixture is melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well until fully combined.

4. Bake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

5. Cool and Cut

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Cut into squares or rectangles while still warm.

In a medium bowl, beat the unsalted butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.

7. Serve

Serve the vanilla butter alongside the warm flapjacks.
