Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Beat Eggs and Sugar

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is thick and pale, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the vanilla extract and the milk to the egg mixture. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Milk Mixture Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Milk Mixture

In a bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Whisk until smooth.

Assembling the Cake

  1. 7

    Soak the Cake

Once the cake is baked and cooled for about 10 minutes, poke holes all over the top using a fork. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in. Let it cool completely in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. 8

    Add Topping

Before serving, spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and garnish with maraschino cherries.
