Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine lime juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Add the sirloin steak, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

White Rice

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the white rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

Fry the Plantains
Peel the ripe plantains and slice them diagonally into 1-inch thick slices. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the plantain slices to the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and caramelized. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
