Preparing the Chicken Satay

Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, coconut milk, brown sugar, lime juice, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

Add Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and place them into the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare Skewers
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. After marinating, thread the chicken strips onto the skewers.

Making the Peanut Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, and water. Stir well until smooth.

Adjust Consistency
Cook the sauce for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. If the sauce is too thick, add more water to reach your desired consistency. Add chili flakes to taste.
