Marinated Flank Steak
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and ensure the steak is well coated. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- 2
Cook the Steak
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the flank steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from the grill and let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- 3
Serve
Slice the flank steak against the grain and serve with rustic fritas, cabbage salad, corn salsa, and poblano chimichurri. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top for added flavor.
