Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glasses

Start by chilling two champagne flutes in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes. This helps keep the drink cool.

  2. 2

    Pour the Guinness

Carefully pour the Guinness stout into one of the chilled champagne flutes, filling it halfway. Do this slowly to prevent excessive foaming.

  3. 3

    Add the Champagne

Next, slowly pour the champagne or sparkling wine over the back of a spoon into the glass with Guinness. This will help keep the layers separate, creating a beautiful visual effect.

  4. 4

    Garnish (Optional)

If desired, garnish the drink with a few fresh blackberries and mint leaves for a pop of color and flavor.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve Immediately

Serve the Black Velvet immediately while it is still bubbly. Enjoy responsibly!
