Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by washing the cherry tomatoes under cold water. Once washed, cut them in half and set aside. Peel and finely slice the garlic cloves.

  2. 2

    Cook the Spaghetti

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to let it burn.

  4. 4

    Add the Tomatoes

Once the garlic is fragrant, add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they start to soften and release their juices.

  5. 5

    Combine Spaghetti and Sauce

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the tomatoes. Toss everything together, adding some reserved pasta water if needed to help the sauce coat the spaghetti.

  6. 6

    Season and Serve

Tear the fresh basil leaves and stir them into the spaghetti. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
