Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, and cook until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the gouda and mozzarella cheeses until melted. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  3. 3

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cheese sauce. Stir until the pasta is well coated.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Baking

Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish. In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle evenly over the top of the macaroni and cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your baked mac & cheese!
