Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the salmon fillets and coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Making the Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic and Lemon Juice

Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic and let it sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Then stir in lemon juice.

  3. 6

    Finish the Sauce

Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley. Set aside.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 7

    Cook the Rice

In a saucepan, combine rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until rice is tender.

  2. 8

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the ends of the asparagus. You can grill or steam the asparagus for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender.

Serving the Dish

  1. 9

    Plate the Meal

On a plate, serve a portion of rice, a bunch of asparagus, and top with grilled salmon. Drizzle lemon butter sauce over the salmon.

  2. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
