Toppings

Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into round patties, approximately ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Chill the Patties

Place the patties on a plate and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to help them firm up.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Place the chilled patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. If using cheese, add it on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato and onion into thin rings.

  2. 7

    Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  3. 8

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty, a slice of tomato, and a few rings of onion. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Serve the Rubo Burger immediately with your favorite side dishes like fries or a salad.
