Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic

Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Habanero

Remove the stem from the habanero pepper, cut it in half, and remove seeds if less heat is desired. Finely chop the habanero.

  3. 3

    Chop the Cilantro

Rinse the fresh cilantro under cold water, pat dry, and chop it roughly.

Cooking the Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic and Habanero

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and habanero pepper. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

  2. 5

    Add Cream Ingredients

Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream and cream cheese to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the cream cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the sauce.

  3. 6

    Season the Sauce

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving the Dish

  1. 7

    Plate the Sauce

Pour the creamy garlic habanero sauce into a serving bowl.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Sprinkle the chopped cilantro on top of the sauce. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an added zest.
