Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.

Baking

  1. 4

    Combine and Fold

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips and nuts.

  2. 5

    Pour and Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  3. 6

    Cool and Serve

Allow the chocolate to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares and serve.
