Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the glass

Take a sturdy glass (like a highball glass) and place it on a flat surface.

  2. 2

    Muddle the mint and sugar

Add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar into the glass. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves against the sugar to release the mint oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.

  3. 3

    Add lime juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass. You can also cut the other half into wedges for garnish later.

  4. 4

    Mix with rum

Pour the white rum over the muddled mint, sugar, and lime juice mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  5. 5

    Add ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.

  6. 6

    Top with club soda

Pour club soda over the ice until the glass is full. Stir gently to combine all ingredients without losing carbonation.

  7. 7

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with lime wedges and mint sprigs on top. Serve with a straw and enjoy your refreshing mojito!
