Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Monkfish

In a bowl, combine the monkfish fillets with harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Ensure the fish is well-coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tabbouleh Base

While the monkfish is marinating, prepare the tabbouleh. In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, diced pear, diced tomato, and watercress. Mix well to combine the ingredients.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Monkfish

Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the monkfish from the marinade and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Slice the cooked monkfish and arrange it over the chickpea tabbouleh in the large bowl. Drizzle with additional olive oil and lemon juice if desired. Serve with tzatziki on the side.
