Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Mix Crust Ingredients
In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well mixed.
- 2
Form the Crust
Press the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan, making sure to pack it down tightly.
- 3
Pre-bake the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
Cheesecake Filling Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- 5
Add Sugar and Sour Cream
Gradually add granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing until fully combined.
- 6
Add Vanilla and Eggs
Add vanilla extract and mix well. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 7
Incorporate Flour
Finally, gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the texture smooth.
- 8
Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cheesecake filling over the pre-baked graham cracker crust and spread it evenly.
- 9
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool slowly.
- 10
Chill the Cheesecake
After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow it to set completely.
