Cornbread

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Bake
Pour the batter into a greased cast iron skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Sautéed Kale

Prepare Kale
Rinse the kale thoroughly and remove the stems. Tear it into bite-sized pieces.

Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Cook Kale
Add the kale to the skillet and sauté until wilted, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Granny's Gravy

Add Broth
Gradually whisk in the vegetable broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
