Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sauté Chicken
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breast and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing into strips.
- 2
Sauté Shrimp
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the crushed tomatoes, red bell pepper, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and salt. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- 4
Combine Shrimp and Chicken
Add the sliced chicken and shrimp back into the skillet with the sauce. Stir to coat the proteins in the spicy tomato sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
