Prepare the Broccoli
Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Let them cool, then chop them into small pieces.

Mix the Cheese Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the steamed broccoli, crumbled bacon, sautéed onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and softened cream cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Form the Bites
Using your hands, form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) from the broccoli mixture. Roll each ball in flour, dip into the egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Broccoli Bites
Carefully add the breaded broccoli bites to the hot oil, working in batches if necessary. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
