Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into round patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the Kaiser buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a few pickle slices.

  3. 8

    Add Patties

Place one burger patty on top of the toppings, followed by another patty on top of that.

  4. 9

    Finish the Burger

Drizzle ketchup and mustard on top of the second patty, then cover with the top half of the bun.
