Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.
- 5
Cook the Waffles
Spray the preheated waffle iron with non-stick spray. Pour an appropriate amount of batter (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup depending on the size of your waffle iron) into the center of the waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually around 4-5 minutes.
- 6
Serve
Remove the waffles from the iron and serve immediately with maple syrup and whipped cream.
