Pickled Cherry Tomatoes
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pickling Brine
In a saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, garlic cloves, and black peppercorns. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 2
Pack the Jars
In sterilized jars, layer the cherry tomatoes, fresh dill, and nasturtium leaves and flowers. Pour the warm pickling brine over the packed ingredients, making sure the tomatoes are fully submerged.
- 3
Add Smoked Peach
Gently fold in the diced smoked peach into the jars, ensuring an even distribution.
- 4
Seal and Refrigerate
Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, let them sit for 1-2 weeks.
