Prepare the Glass
Rub the rim of a glass with the lime wedge and dip it into salt to coat the rim.

Muddle the Basil
In a shaker, muddle the fresh basil leaves gently to release their flavor.

Mix the Ingredients
Add the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup, and ice cubes to the shaker with the muddled basil.

Shake the mixture well until chilled.
