Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with salt and a few tablespoons of salsa chile de arbol. Mix well to ensure the chicken is well-seasoned.
- 2
Fill the Tortillas
Take a flour tortilla and place a portion of the chicken mixture in the center. Roll the tortilla tightly, ensuring the filling is enclosed. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
- 3
Fry the Flautas
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the rolled tortillas seam-side down into the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 4
Drain and Serve
Once fried, remove the flautas from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with additional salsa chile de arbol on the side.
