  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the filet mignon with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Heat your grill to medium-high heat.

  3. 3

    Cook the Filet Mignon

Place the seasoned filet mignon on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust time to your preference.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  5. 5

    Grill the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are opaque.

  6. 6

    Make the Truffle Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and return them to the pot.

  7. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, heavy cream, and truffle oil to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  8. 8

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  9. 9

    Make the Au Poivre Sauce

In a saucepan, combine the beef broth and cognac. Bring to a simmer and let reduce by half.

  10. 10

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, cooking until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.

  11. 11

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve the filet mignon alongside grilled shrimp, a scoop of truffle mashed potatoes, and green beans. Drizzle the au poivre sauce over the steak.
