Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (4 oz each) and form into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into thick rounds and wash the iceberg lettuce leaf.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread 1 tablespoon of dijonaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cooked cheeseburger patty, tomato slices, pickle slices, and then the top half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve with Fries

Serve the burgers hot with your favorite fries on the side.
