Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Topping

Dice the heirloom tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Basil and Garlic

Chop the fresh basil leaves and mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Season the Mixture

Drizzle the olive oil over the tomato mixture, then sprinkle in the salt and black pepper. Gently toss all ingredients together until well combined.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.

  5. 5

    Toast the Baguette

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toast the baguette slices in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice.

  7. 7

    Finish with Balsamic Reduction

Drizzle balsamic reduction over the top of the bruschetta for added flavor.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately while the baguette is still warm and crispy.
