Caprese Sandwich

Method

Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the fresh mozzarella and roma tomatoes into even slices. Rinse the fresh basil leaves and pat dry.

2

Toast the Ciabatta

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cut the ciabatta loaves in half and drizzle the cut sides with olive oil. Place the ciabatta halves cut side down in the skillet or grill and toast until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

3

Assemble the Sandwich

Spread a generous amount of pesto aioli on the toasted side of each ciabatta half. Layer the fresh mozzarella slices, roma tomato slices, and fresh basil leaves on one half of the ciabatta. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

4

Complete the Sandwich

Top with the other half of the ciabatta bread to complete the sandwich. Press down gently.

5

Serve

Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately. Enjoy your fresh Caprese sandwich!
