Oysters and Garlic Butter

Method

Preparation and Grilling

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in parsley, thyme, rosemary, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Oysters

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Carefully shuck the oysters, retaining the liquor in the shell. Place the oysters on a grill-safe tray or directly on the grill grates.

  3. 3

    Grill the Oysters

Spoon a generous amount of the garlic herb butter over each oyster. Grill the oysters for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges of the oysters start to curl and they are cooked through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the oysters from the grill, allow them to cool slightly, and serve warm with additional lemon wedges if desired.
