Seafood and Salad Components

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Seafood

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 30 minutes until tender. Remove and let cool.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp and Mussels

In the same pot, add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink. Remove and let cool. Next, add the mussels and cover the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes until the mussels open. Discard any that do not open. Let them cool.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

In another pot, add fingerling potatoes to boiling salted water and cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool before slicing into smaller pieces.

  4. 4

    Combine the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cooked octopus, shrimp, mussels, and sliced fingerling potatoes.

  5. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.

  6. 6

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
