Preparation
1. Prepare the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
2. Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
Combining Ingredients
3. Add Sundried Tomatoes
Stir in the sundried tomatoes into the skillet with the garlic. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
4. Mix in Pasta and Seasonings
Add the drained pasta to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss everything together until well combined. If needed, add more pasta water to reach desired consistency.
5. Finish with Basil and Cheese
Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese until the cheese has melted and everything is well mixed.
