Method

Meatballs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatball Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get approximately 12-15 meatballs.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the meatballs and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Onion and Garlic

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.

  3. 6

    Combine Meatballs with Sauce

Add the cooked meatballs back into the skillet with the sauce. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Pasta

  1. 7

    Cook the Spaghetti and Ravioli

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the cheese ravioli to the pot. Drain and set aside.

  2. 8

    Combine Pasta with Sauce

Add the drained spaghetti and ravioli to the skillet with the meatball sauce. Gently toss to combine and heat through.
