Preparing the Rice

1

Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of long-grain rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

2

Prepare the Stuffing

In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent. Stir in the cooked rice, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and remove from heat.

Preparing the Trout

3

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

4

Stuff the Trout

Rinse the cleaned trout under cold water and pat dry. Season the inside of each trout with salt and black pepper. Stuff the cavities with the prepared rice mixture.

5

Bake the Trout

In a baking dish, place the stuffed trout and drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

6

Serve

Remove the trout from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your stuffed trout with a side of vegetables or a fresh salad.
