Prepare the Tenderloin
Remove the beef tenderloin from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the Meat
Pat the tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub the surface with olive oil, then season generously with kosher salt and black pepper.

Sear the Tenderloin
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tenderloin and sear on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side).

Roast in Oven
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
