Prepare Espresso
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Mix Coffee Liqueur
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso with 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur to soak the ladyfingers.
Mascarpone Mixture

Whip Heavy Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mascarpone and Sugar
In another bowl, mix 1 cup of mascarpone cheese, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.

Fold Mixtures Together
Gently fold the whipped heavy cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Soak Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, making sure not to soak them for too long, and layer them in a rectangular dish.

Layer Mascarpone Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of soaked ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
Chilling and Serving

Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

Serve Tiramisu
Before serving, dust the top with unsweetened cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
