Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Vegetables

While the dough is rising, prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell pepper, red onion, zucchini, and mushrooms.

Assembling and Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Roll Out Dough

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 8

    Add Toppings

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, then layer the sliced vegetables on top.

  4. 9

    Season Pizza

Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over the toppings, sprinkle with dried oregano, and add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 10

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  6. 11

    Slice and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
