Preparation of the Salmon

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Place the salmon fillet in the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Place the marinated salmon fillet on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
