Preparation of Patties
- 1
Prepare the Ground Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the seasoned ground beef into four equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick.
Grilling
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- 4
Grill the Patties
Place the beef patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
