Cook the Fettuccini
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

Combine Cream and Cheese
Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 4
Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccini to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as necessary to achieve desired consistency.
- 5
Season and Serve
Season the pasta with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
