Flourless Chocolate Cake

Method

Flourless Chocolate Cake

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) until smooth.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

Remove the bowl from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt until just combined.

  4. 4

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake has set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  5. 5

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve with whipped cream and Luxardo cherries.
